i must admit, sometimes i don't know WHAT it is I'm trying to make. I think it's space, but really, they're just a bunch of rocks...maybe i'm referencing some kind of wasteland.

scratching paper / dripping ink / washing hands with color #1
it always amazes me to see how the work progresses...
...sometimes I fall in love with what I have from the very beginning-and i struggle to move forward because I want to cradle what looks pure, raw and innocent...
...but as i progress, the drawing hand becomes violent / aggressive -
and what was once innocent and pure is suddenly confused and chaotic.
it screams potential in all directions but
it hasn't quite figured out where to go or what do to next...
...and that's when the drawing hand goes for the unexpected-
eyes closed - it makes a bold move-
a rapid gesture - there is no turning back :
...to be continued
ink wash continued
so in my experimental drawing class we are working with ink washes and contour line drawing techniques to discover and render shapes found within each ink splattered sheet
i'm not gonna lie- pulling shapes wasn't easy.
..so I sought for something real and tactile:
scissors !
pulling shapes from ink
using ink as background
set (and done[?])
Tuesday

cluster f*kc.

...oooh it's been a while since I've been in
