Calico:

Original alteration of Calicut (a seaport in India)

:where a type of unbleached cloth originated.

Kaliko: a multi-faceted word:

a white cloth. a mottled cat.

it is because of this equivocation of meaning that I enjoy the play of the word

Which brings me to another version of the word: Coleco-Vision
