Ideal House

What is more ideal than the primary geometric solid? The cube, the sphere, the cylinder, and the pyramid are forms that symbolize the eternal cosmos. In an effort to bridge man and nature, this pure geometry was believed to offer man a tectonic sublime dwelling by which they reside in the ideal spatial conditions with nature and the cosmos.
I cannot help my curiosity...The idea of a cylindrical or spherical residence escapes me. Perhaps because I have likened asymmetrical compositions--their ambiguous continuum of space or lack thereof. Just as there is perfection in symmetry, it is however, nearly unattainable. Can one argue that there is more beauty in flaw? The weight of imperfection is as unique as a genetic sequence. The combinations, the deviations, the opportunities open up with asymmetry, allowing for a more personalized rendering of ideal space. I like to think that each of us has designed our own version of utopia...and even if it is something inconceivable, something not really tactile, the fact that you thought of it makes it plausible. Ideal is a concept, a principal meant to look up to but by no means made doctrine. Perhaps that is why I relish ambiguity and interpret thus as solace within chaos.
