Its been nearly a year since I've been to China. And since that time, I have yet to complete my student travel blog. I have no more excuses! I am not school, I am currently unemployed (but hunting so feverishly it hurts!) so why wait any longer?!
One of the challenges, I think, about making this virtual journal was just that! it's virtual! I didn't necessarily carry a writing journal around with me...I didn't really have the time to wander to cafes to write about my lazy walks along SoHo districts and such...no...my reality in China usually included, but was not limited to, waking up in a daze, eating something unfamiliar for breakfast, working / running around lost in translation / more eating many picture taking and many many poopy runs because my tummy barely understood what it needed to digest. By the time I returned to my room I was too tired to write anything cohesive...nevertheless I wrote.
Long story short: here is a link of my long awaited travel blog. When it came down to finally reading my nonsensical notes, I decided to keep most of their authenticity...I think there is something very real and honest about them that, hopefully you might understand and find humor in. Please enjoy this ride:
